Where: Biltmore Lake Community in Asheville, NC
Length: 750 meter Swim - 17.5 mile Bike - 5K Run
Triathlon racing in exciting Asheville returns for the 4th year to the beautiful Biltmore Lake community and the Enka Triathlon at Biltmore Lake. The swim takes place in the private Enka Lake where motorized vehicles are not permitted. The bike course is scenic and challenging on two lane roads throughout the Beaverdam and Hominy communities of Buncombe County. The course features two moderate climbs at the 3 and 11 mile marks. The run takes place primarily on the trail that circles Enka Lake except for a one-mile loop in a the neighborhood adjacent to the lake.
Registration
Registration opens on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 and is limited to the first 350 registrants to maintain the integrity of the venue. Click HERE to register at Set Up Events.
Entry Fees:
- Early entry (11/1/2011-2/29/2011) - $45 indiv, $80 relays
- Regular entry (3/1-5/31) - $55 indiv, $90 relays
- Late entry (After 6/1) - $65 indiv, $105 relays
You must be a current USA Triathlon member and present a current USAT membership card at packet-pickup. Those who don't have their card or who are not USAT members, must purchase a one-day membership for $10.

Minimum Age
You must be 13 years old to participate in the Enka Triathlon at Biltmore Lake.
Post Race
Great post race food has been a tradition of this race since the beginning and we are pleased to announce Earth Fare will be providing lunch for all athletes and volunteers this year.
Awards
Overall awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female and top 3 masters (40 & Over) male and female and top 3 relays. Age group awards will be awarded to the top 3 male and female in the following age groups:
- 13-15
- 16-19
- 20-24
- 25-29
- 30-34
- 35-39
- 40-44
- 45-49
- 50-54
- 55-59
- 60-64
- 65-69
- 70-74
- 75-79
- 80 & Over
- Clydesdale (Males 200 pounds and over)
- Master Clydesdale
- Athena (Females 150 pounds and over)
Note: Your age group will be determined by your age on December 31, 2012.

Race organizers reserve the right to alter, postpone or cancel the race in the interest of participant and/or public safety.
Cut-Off Time
All participants must complete the race in 3 hours or less. The race director reserves the right to pull anybody from the course race if it is determined they will not complete the race in 3 hours.
Timing
The race will utilize ChampionChip timing. Racers will receive an overall time and splits for the run, T1, bike, T2 and run.
Tech Support
Motion Makers will be on hand Friday and Saturday to provide bike technical support. They will also have a variety of bikes, including Cervelo and Specialized tri bikes, and other goodies to check out.
